FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing nanosized rutile titanium dioxide includes its precipitation from a solution containing titanium chloride and simultaneous neutralisation of 25% aqueous ammonia. The neutralisation is carried out at a molar ratio of titanium chloride (IV) to ammonium hydroxide of 1:(1.3-1.8). A solution of titanium chloride (IV) is poured into aqueous ammonia solution without stirring. The suspension was incubated at least 0.5 hours. The precipitate was washed by decantation until complete laundering impurities and achieving electrical resistivity of the titanium dioxide slurry is not less than 1⋅105 ohm⋅cm. The washed slurry was dried at room temperature. A powder heat treatment is then carried out at 100-200°C.
EFFECT: invention makes it easier to obtain nanodispersed titanium dioxide powder with the rutile structure, reduce the heat treatment temperature.
