METHOD AND DEVICE FOR BODY SOFT TISSUES IMAGING WITH PROJECTION OF X-RAYS AND OPTICAL TOMOGRAPHY Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2618912 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for body soft tissues (17) imaging comprises the following steps: obtaining of the first image data for the first image of the body soft tissue region of interest using X-ray projection; obtaining of second image data for the second image of the body soft tissue region of interest using optical tomography; obtaining of the estimated volumetric optical properties of body soft tissues in the region of interest from the obtained first image data; reconstruction of the second image from the second image data using the estimated volumetric optical properties; and obtaining of the third image data for the third image of the body soft tissue region of interest using X-ray projection. At that, the first image data is obtained by finding the body soft tissues in the first state of compression, and the second and third image data is obtained by finding the body soft tissues in the second state of compression, with less compression than in the first compression state. The imaging device is configured to implement the method and comprises: a body of soft tissue compression unit to compress the body soft tissues in various states of compression; an X-ray source and an X-ray detector located on the opposite sides of the body soft tissue compression unit; an optical tomography radiation source and an optical tomography radiation detector located on the opposite sides of the body soft tissue compression unit, and a computer. A computer readable medium containing instructions for device control. At that, the instructions make the device implement the method steps when performed by the computer.

EFFECT: improved visualization of tissue structures and characteristics.
