SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to means of displaying medical images obtained from a target using X-rays. Device comprises interface unit, processing unit and display unit. Interface unit is configured to provide three-dimensional processed data calculated from a plurality of X-ray images through a target, and input an image of a preceding mammogram. Processing unit is configured to calculate a first set of front projections, wherein one of the projection directions is inclined relative to the central direction of production, and calculating the angle of the front projection by maximizing the similarity measure between the preceding mammogram and the calculated synthetic mammogram. Display unit is configured to display a first set of front projections in the form of a corresponding first set of synthetic mammograms. Method is implemented using the device. X-ray imaging system comprises an X-ray imaging arrangement and a display arrangement, wherein the display arrangement is provided in the form of a medical image display device. System is equipped with a machine-readable carrier.

EFFECT: using the group of inventions enables improving the disease development assessment.
