FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: carbonplastic endoprosthesis of the temporomandibular joint is proposed. The endoprosthesis consists of a lower part with the joint head and an upper counter part. Both parts are made from biocompatible carbon composites composed of GHP-2M carbon cloth and polyamide-10/12 with added powders of silicon or titanium or silver. The lower part with the joint head and the upper counter part are joined by polyamide-10/12.
EFFECT: use of this prosthesis allows satisfactory conditions for implant friction for a long period of time, extend the life of the implant, while eliminating toxicity for surrounding tissues.
