FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical dentistry and maxillofacial surgery, and can be used in reconstruction of lower jaw defects. An endoprosthesis is made of titanium and its alloy in form of a three-dimensional porous body repeating the geometry of the reconstructed defect. Resection of lower jaw is performed with exarticulation of temporomandibular joint. That is followed by an incision in a projection of a greater pectoral muscle, the flap of which is separated and taken aside. In the muscle flap across the path of its fibers, a surgical pocket is created, in which an endoprosthesis is placed and installed after moving in the muscular flap and turning on one side into the joint surface of the temporomandibular joint, and on the other side – along an osteotomy with a residual fragment of the lower jaw with fixation with a bone suture.

EFFECT: method provides simultaneous recovery of anatomical and aesthetic relations of face contours, possibility of reconstruction in conditions of soft tissue deficiency for cover of endoprosthesis, preservation of chewing function of lower jaw in full volume, reduced length of treatment and shortened period of postoperative rehabilitation.
