SUBSTANCE: glide slope beacon (GSB) "with a reference zero", comprising a generator, the first and the second antennas with hanging heights

where λ is a wavelength, θгл is a glide slope angle, further comprising the third antenna located below the second antenna, and also comprising devices which together form a wide area in the vertical plane. Signals in this area are incoherent with signals form the said GSB "with a reference zero". In the first GSB embodiment, signals incoherence is achieved by using an additional generator which differs in frequency from the said generator frequency. In the second embodiment, GSB signal is divided into two channels. First channel signals form the "traditional" glide slope zone. Second channel signals are subjected to phase shift keying. Second channel signals form a wide beam in the vertical plane with a minimum at elevation angle equal to θгл. Taking into account the "capture effect", glide characteristics are formed in the airborne receiver, substantially matched with traditional prototype characteristics and extended due to the second channel signal radiation by the second and the third antennas to high elevation angles.
EFFECT: glide slope beacon territorial expansion in a vertical plane to ensure aircraft landing on a steep trajectory.
