SUBSTANCE: for tamping the railway track by means of a measuring device, the path position errors are eliminated and the correction amounts of new gravel to be supplied are calculated, and the gravel amount to be used in case of necessity is accumulated. The accumulated gravel amount is dumped, as soon as the gravel filling device reaches the respective track section following the measuring device in the working movement direction.
EFFECT: possibility of the uniform correction of the railway track position.
