FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: surgical stapler comprises a handle unit, a trunk, including a start-up rod, an end clamp and a removable cartridge. The end clamp includes an abutment element, a lower jaw and a unit for suturing and and dissection, responding to longitudinal closing movement caused by handle and trunk. The lower jaw is adapted to receive the cartridge. The removable cartridge comprises a housing, multiple suture staples arranged therein, a panel and biocompatible material. The panel is positioned above the multiple suture staples, openings are provided in the panel, wherein each opening is actually located over each suture staple. The start-up rod is adapted to apply the biocompatible material on the tissue, while suturing and dissection unit provides dissection and simultaneous placement of the suture staples into the tissue. The start-up rod includes a slot adapted to receive the biocompatible material. The method of material output from the surgical device, wherein the surgical device comprises an end clamp, a handle and a trunk, includes the start-up rod. The end clamp includes a lower jaw and an abutment element, the lower jaw is adapted to receive the removable cartridge, and the cartridge includes a panel with a vertical groove. The device further includes a unit for suturing and dissection, responding to longitudinal closig movement caused by the handle and trunk. The suturing and dissection unit includes the start-up rod. The method comprises the stages of cartridge insertion and of longitudinal closing movement to promote the start-up rod of the suturing and dissection unit. A cartridge containing the biocompatible material is inserted into the lower jaw of the end clamp so that the biocompatible material is held in a slot of the start-up rod while the actuator rod is in its first position. Implementation of longitudinal closing movement to promote the start-up rod of the suturing and dissection unit along the cartridge panel vertical groove to the second position so that the start-up rod promotion provides simultaneous promotion of the biocompatible material. The surgical device includes the above-mentioned handle, a trunk, a suturing and dissection unit, a staple cartridge, an end clamp, multiple suture staples and biocompatible material. The multiple suture staples are located in the staple cartridge casing, wherein the abutment member is adapted to form the suture staples in response to the longitudinal closing movement. The biocompatible material is arranged on the staple cartridge or inside of it. The start-up rod comprises sockets, while the rod is movable between the abutment member and the cartridge, at that, sockets are configured to receive portions of the biocompatible material.
EFFECT: possibility to facilitate substance release on the tissue cut line while promoting the start-up rod.
