FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: converters are installed on the rail threads, connect them to the receiving device, perform initial (standard) measurements, the magnitude of the mechanical stresses is determined from the results of measuring the time delays of the arrival of the ultrasonic signal to the receivers from the initial measurements, while the initial voltage measurement is carried out by a transducer connected to the receiving device, mounted on a rail section located on a trolley travelling along the track, an additional time delay and the arrival of an ultrasonic signal to the receiving device, depending on the height of the rail, connected to it by the longitudinal wave transducers mounted on the rail segment and the surface of the rail threads, and the mechanical stresses are determined from the predetermined math formula.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the mechanical stresses in rails in dynamics.
