EVALUATION METHOD OF DEFORMATION PROPERTIES OF POLYPROPYLENE CARBON-FILLED FILAMENTS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/36 G01N27/02 G01N3/08

Abstract RU 2619866 C2

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns the method of evaluating the deformation properties of polypropylene carbon-filled filaments during the usage. The method consists of the following: every minute the samples of synthetic filaments are stretched. This process is accompanied by the impact of electric current. Then, every minute measurement of tensile stress values and the values of the electric resistance are taken. At the same time, the values of the electrical resistivity are made with the help of formula, where R - electrical resistance of the filament, L 2mm - distance between contacts, b - filament thickness, d - width of the sample; wherein, the polypropylene carbon-filled filament is stretched to achieve the value of electrical resistivity r = 109 Ohm × m. Based on the obtained value of the maximum tensile stress, along with the averaging formula: where si - The maximum acceptable tensile stress in each case, the antistatic properties' retention of polypropylene carbon-filled filaments is judged.

EFFECT: use of the method allows to predict the resistance of the antistatic materials' properties during repeated stretching of polypropylene carbon-filled filaments.
