FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: trachea prosthesis for segmental defects replacement is a multilayer tubular matrix, made from a polymeric biocompatible material. The prosthesis is reinforced by polyurethane semicircles, obtained by termo-pressing technology. The tubular matrix is formed from 5-6 layers of ultra-fiber nonwoven material oriented in various directions prepared using 3D printing technique, namely electrospinning in accordance with the size and shape of the defective portion of the patient's trachea. The inner and outer surface of the prosthesis are modified by blood serum fibrin.
EFFECT: segmental defects replacement while retaining air-conducting features prevents mediastinum infection, improves cyto-conductive properties, improves anastomoses fixation and repair.
