FIELD: chemistry of high-molecular compounds.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bioresorbable implants for the regeneration of peripheral nerves based on nanofibers made of bioresorbable polymers. The implant is a tube based on nanofibers made of poly(L-lactide), poly(ε-caprolactone) or a copolymer of poly(L-lactide) and poly(ε-caprolactone) with a ratio of monomer units from 50:50 to 90:10. The walls of the tube with a thickness of 50 to 700 μm and an internal diameter of 0.5 to 10 mm contain pores ranging in size from 0.1 to 10 μm. The inner channel of the tube contains composite monofilaments of chitosan and filler in the form of chitin nanofibrils in an amount from 0 to 50 wt.% relative to chitosan. The diameter of composite monofilaments ranges from 10 µm to 100 µm, and the elastic modulus ranges from 8 to 12 GPa.
EFFECT: improvement in the quality of bioresorbable polymer material for the regeneration of peripheral nerves is achieved through the formation of a thread structure with the required elastic characteristics.
