FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: physical examination, palpation, macroscopic characteristics of nipples secretion and a cytological examination of breast secretions are performed. The colour index of the nipples secretion is compared to the result of cytological examination of secretion print smears. White secretions from the breast and presence of mammary cells indicate galactorrhea or lactation period. In case of turbid straw or green secretions and absence of cellular elements and/or cells of superficial epithelium, as well as in case of transparent, amber, brown secretions and absence of cellular elements, fibro-cystic mastopathy is diagnosed. In case of thick, dense, light two-component secretions and presence of detritus and fat cells, ducts ectasia is diagnosed. In case of yellow, green stretching secretions and presence of neutrophils, macrophages and unstructured masses, a slow chronic process is diagnosed. In case of transparent, amber, brown or bloody secretions and presence of erythrocytes, macrophages and cubic epithelium cells, an intraduct pathology is diagnosed and an instrumental follow-up is prescribed.

EFFECT: use of the method allows to diagnose breast diseases quickly and with high accuracy.
