FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for explosion protection of process equipment in the event of an emergency (ES). The explosion protection device with an initial emergency phase alarm system includes a valve body, a lined cargo gate movably connecting to the valve body through at least three flexible connections, and a rupture element configured as a pressure safety device. A circular diaphragm with a central hole and with at least three holes located in its peripheral part is installed in the valve body, in its cylindrical part bordering with the conical part of the valve. A rod is fixed with its lower part in the upper part of the lined cargo gate axially to the valve body. The upper part of the rod is placed in the central hole of the diaphragm. A sleeve of highly breakable material in the form of triplex glass is installed on the support rod coaxially to it between the bottom of the circular diaphragm and the top of the lined cargo gate. The strength of the sleeves is calculated for a specific excess pressure in the valve. A safety indicator in the form of a strain-gauge sensor is attached to the lateral surface of the highly breakable sleeve. The signal is directed from it to a strain-gauge amplifier through a communication line. Then it is sent from the strain-gauge amplifier to the emergency alarm system unit.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability of process equipment protection from explosions in the ES by recording the moment of occurrence of the initial emergency phase with the means of the personnel alerting.
