FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: universal cover includes truncated cone-shaped base 1 attached to cover 2, and handle 3. To collect condensate from the cover, base 1 has cavity 4, which is a bending of the truncated cone edge inward and upward. The method for universal cover application is to use the universal cover described above.
EFFECT: eliminated need for individual covers for each type of dishes, while reducing the cost of purchase and storage thereof, and prevention of vapour particles from falling off the cover surface.
