FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: cladding layer of corrosion-resistant wear-resistant austenitic-ferritic steel is applied onto the base layer by electroslag facing with consumable electrodes. Electrodes are made of steel of the following composition, wt %: C 0.010-0,035, Si 0.5-1.0, Mn 0.7-2.0, Cr 21-25, Ni 4.5-7.5, Mo 2.5-4.5, Ti of not more than 0.005, Al of not more than 0.03, N 0.01-0.20, S 0.0025-0.0035, P 0.010-0.020, Fe and unavoidable impurities - the rest, and the penetration depth of the base layer during hard-facing is not more than 5 mm. Then, hot rolling and heat treatment are carried out.
EFFECT: improved corrosion resistance, including pitting corrosion resistance, strength properties and structural durability of bimetallic construction materials, as well as reduced cost of the bimetal.
