FIELD: physics; control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of controlling vehicles and pedestrians at pedestrian crossings. The system for controlling traffic at a crossing through a roadway between sidewalks, bounded by road kerbs, includes traffic lights with lamps of three colours, connected to a power supply circuit through an electromechanical controller with a control circuit, fitted with an additional signalling device connected in parallel to the green lamp. The signaling device is the exciting windings 7 of electromagnetic vibrators 8, installed in inner planes 9 of the rising road kerb 6, made on the area of intersection of the pedestrian crossing with the sidewalk.
EFFECT: high efficiency of controlling traffic, the traffic control system is suitable for pedestrians with partial loss of vision, as well as blind and deaf pedestrians.
