SUBSTANCE: granular adsorbent of radioactive iodine from zeolite X in which ion exchange of zeolite plots X are replaced by Silver so that the size of the small pores of zeolite X matches the size of the hydrogen molecule, and adsorbent radioactive iodine has 36 silver wt % or more when drying, grain size 10×20 mesh and water content 12 wt % or less when dried at 150°C for 3 h and thus reduced in weight. There is also a way of handling radioactive iodine contained in a pair of nuclear power plant produced. A superheated steam that has temperature 100°C or more.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows more efficient adsorption of radioactive iodine and removal of hydrogen, which is a factor of accidents on nuclear reactors.
