FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. The device comprises an ultrasonic transducers matrix, an integrated circuit connected to the transducer elements, a base unit adapted to conduct heat and absorb sound energy, matching layers, a lens, and a grounding plane. The device also includes a tube, a pump located in the probe connector and adapted to pump fluid through the closed loop system. At that, inlet and outlet pipelines are arranged in the cable. Fluid pipelines in the cable are separated by electrical cable conductors. The heat exchanger with the base unit is placed in the sensor housing. The base unit is formed as a porous structure through which the liquid flows. Base unit top is coated by epoxy material. Additional cooling may be provided by metal-metal contact with coolant in the ultrasound system. Heat produced from the heat exchanger is dissipated from the cable surface.
EFFECT: invention enhances device cooling performance.
