FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: mobile X-ray apparatus includes a base for placement of control unit, power supply and cooling, and a pivotally movable arm that supports the X-ray applicator containing the X-ray tube. The X-ray applicator is attached to the base, and the X-ray tube includes a target for X-ray generation, and a collimator connected to the collimator socket for generated X-ray beam shaping. The distance between the target and the collimator is in the range of 4 to 10 cm. The collimator is provided with automated identification means, adapted to generate a signal in the control unit, which is characteristic of the collimator, and the identification means is formed by a unique pair of protrusions, which leads to a discernible change in the collimator socket impedance. The method of mobile X-ray apparatus production and the method of X-ray delivery for surface lesions irradiation consist of lever connection to the base by a flexible cable, installation of the X-ray tube with the target and the collimator, determination of the distance between the target and the collimator, connected to the collimator socket in the range of 4 to 10 cm. The collimator is further provided with automated identification means to generate a signal in the control unit, which is characteristic of the collimator, and to detect the discernible change in the collimator socket impedance.
EFFECT: reduced skin radiation dose.
