FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: protective wax is proposed, which includes a sediment formed on the walls of oil pipelines during oil transportation, polyethylene wax PV-200, copper naphthenate and mineral oil with a viscosity at 40°C 26-35 mm2/S, with the following ratio of components, wt %: polyethylene wax PV-200 2.0-4.0; Copper naphthenate 0.05-0.10; mineral oil; with a viscosity at 40°C 26-35 mm2/S 10.0-15.0 sediment formed on the walls of oil pipelines during the transportation of oil to 100. The proposed wax can be used to protect products and structures made of metal, wood, textiles, paper from high temperatures and humidity from exposure to atmospheric agents and moulds. Also in the composition of protective wax there are no scarce products, and the available raw materials are contained, in particular, the used oil sediment formed on the walls of oil pipelines during the transportation of oil is an oil waste and does not require additional treatment.
EFFECT: cost of making wax is reduced.
