FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: secondary windings partitioning into the equal sections facilitates thyristors switching action and allows to insert the thyristors impulse-phase steering mode among adjacent sinewave output voltage levels of the phase-reversing device (PRD) in order to implement voltage smoth control within the ranges determined by All-Union State Standard. The thyristor commutation switches are placed in the circuits of the primary windings of the booster transformer and are under the subtransmission circuit voltage 6-20 kV, which allows to apply this device in the medium voltage systems. One booster transformer (BT) is used, the primary windings of which are connected in a "triangle" way and connected to the input terminals of the PRD. The modules of the quadrature and in-phase voltage control, which are in series among the input and output terminals of each phase of the PRD, are implemented on the basis of the secondary windings.
EFFECT: transformer equipment design capacity double reduction which is a part of the phase-reversing device, a thyristor switches in the in-phase voltage control modules quantity reduction.
