FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for treating carbonaceous substances by means of steam thermolysis involves grinding the waste of a carbonaceous substance, loading the crushed waste into a reactor heated by combustion fumes, cooling the combustion fumes to a temperature of 200 to 450°C and their removal, removal of steam-gas products from the reactor, formed in the reactor during steam thermolysis, and their subsequent condensation, separation of the condensate into water containing residual hydrocarbons, and oil. Smokes containing water vapor are fed into the reactor in such a way as to bring mentioned ground waste of the carbonaceous substance to a temperature of 200 to 700°C during the reaction of steam thermolysis. In this case, the water released from the condensate is used as a source of the thermal energy of the reactor.
EFFECT: reduction of energy consumption in the production of soot and reduction of harmful emissions into the environment.
