FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: two samples of synovial effusion are examined using the wedge dehydration method. The first sample is mixed with 1% sodium hyaluronic acid at a ratio of 10:1, respectively. The second sample of sinovial effusion without impurities. A comparative analysis of the structures in each facies is performed. If parallel lines with spotty grit are found in the marginal zone of the first and second samples facies, primary chronic synovitis is diagnosed, if tongue structures are found in the marginal zone of the first sample facies, secondary chronic synovitis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method is simple, available, allows to define clear criteria for differential diagnosis of primary and secondary chronic infectious synovitis.
