FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of low-slag domain melting on magnesium iron slag restricted with sulfur and silicon, comprises charging coke with the definition of its hot strength into the blast furnace, the charge comprising the iron ore portion of fluxed magnesia sinter and low silicate pellets and slag, smelting the charge to obtain pig iron and final slag, wherein the deviation of the hot coke strength index is 2% or more from the predetermined initial value corresponding to the predetermined initial slag output, the flowing slag output is set, based on a certain dependence formula.
EFFECT: producing cast iron with reduced sulfur and silicon content, reducing coke consumption for smelting.
