FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: hydrostatic bearing comprises shaft (1) and housing (2) with their conjugated surfaces making slit gap (9) of primary bearing ply of lubricant. Housing (2) has radial throttling channels (3) communicated with lubricant feed source (pf). Circular ledges are made at ends of housing (2) with circular membranes (4) fitted at their inner sides. Stiff rings are tightly secured inside membranes (4) to make, with shaft (1) and housing (2), axial and radial throttling slots (7, 8), respectively. Housing (2) has chambers (10) made in symmetry about central crosswise plane. Every said chamber communicates via appropriate radial channel (11) with slot gap (9) of primary bearing ply of lubricant.

EFFECT: improved dynamic characteristics of this bearing.
