FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: hydrostatic bearing comprises housing with radial and ring passages connected with the lubricant source, shaft, and movable bushing which is in the plane between the housing and shaft and defines throttling space between bushing and shaft. The outer cylindrical surface of the bushing at both ends are provided with ring projections that define step slot throttling spaces between the housing and bushing. The shaft has bearing collar whose face defines slot throttling spaces between the mating face surfaces of the housing and movable bushing. The bushing is provided with radial throttling passages which are in communication with the ring passage in the housing. The face surface of the bushing, which is mating to the face surface of the housing, is provided with the ring projection that defines the step slot throttling space.

EFFECT: reduced power loss.
