SUBSTANCE: it provides a method to the UE to decide whether or not to monitor the downlink control channel in a sub-frame. The UE operates with discontinuous reception, DRX, and a time dynamic duplex spacing, TDD. The UE is in the active mode of the DRX cycle. The UE determines (701) that the sub-frame is a specified sub-frame of the downlink or that the sub-frame is a flexible sub-frame now configured to operate as a downlink one. Upon determining that the sub-frame is a specified downlink sub-frame, the UE updates (702) the first DRX timer. Upon determining that the sub-frame is a specified downlink sub-frame or that the subframe is a flexible one, now configured to operate as a downlink sub-frame, the UE decides (704) to monitor the downlink control channel in the mentioned sub-frame.
EFFECT: increased bandwidth.
