SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method in UE includes steps of monitoring downlink control channel during duration of at least first timer and receiving indication of downlink or uplink transmission for UE. Method comprises a step of, after a step of receiving an indication of transmitting a downlink or an uplink for UE, stopping monitoring a first timer, wherein after the first timer is stopped by the UE, there is no need to monitor the downlink control channel. Method includes a step of transmitting an uplink transmission associated with said downlink or uplink transmission for UE. Method comprises steps of triggering a second timer after receiving an indication of transmitting a downlink or uplink for UE, wherein duration of second timer includes period of shift, and when second timer expires, third timer is started. UE monitors the downlink control channel during the duration of the third timer.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of UE battery consumption.
