FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for human periodont state estimation in terms of resistance to chronic generalized periodontitis development caused by Treponema denticola and/or Tannerella forsythensis. According to the invention, the level of periodontal contamination by Streptococcus sanguinis periodontoprotector bactera, determined by real time polymerase chain reaction using specific primers and a probe is used as the specific marker. High dissemination of periodont with S. sanguinis indicates its high resistance to hypercolonization of such periodontal pathogens as Tannerella forsythensis and Treponema denticola, and, to a lesser extent, Porphyromonas gingivalis and Prevotella intermedia. Low representation of S. sanguinis in the periodontal microbiocenosis of a particular patient or its complete absence is a sign of increased risk of supercritical periodontal pathogens colonization and subsequent development of chronic generalized periodontitis (HGP). The most effective periodontal status evaluation can be achieved through parallel measurement representation of the following pathogens in the periodontal microbiocenosis: Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Tannerella forsythensis and Treponema denticola [1-5] and S. sanguinis.
EFFECT: this approach allows to predict the disease dynamics and evaluate the efficiency of the treatment course completed by the patient.
