FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to protecting agricultural crops from diseases, specifically to the inhibitor of the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) on tobacco leaves. The tobacco mosaic virus inhibitor is produced as follows. Bulbs of garlic Allium sativum L. are treated with a water-salt solution at 4-5°C and held for 4-5 hours, with the subsequent centrifugation at specified parameters to obtain an extract. The obtained extract is treated with ammonium sulfate, incubated at the predetermined parameters, with the subsequent centrifugation to obtain the supernatant and the precipitate. The peptide fraction with the molecular weight of 4300-4500 Da is isolated from the obtained supernatant and the protein fraction containing the lectin-allinase complex - from the precipitate, and the mixture of the isolated peptides and the protein complex with the mass ratio of peptides: protein complex, equal to 0.1:(1-20).
EFFECT: reducing the infection with the tobacco mosaic virus of tobacco leaves.
