FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: vaccine for the prevention of rubella and a method for its production are proposed. Vaccine described includes spherical particles of the tobacco mosaic virus and rubella virus antigens, adsorbed on the surface of spherical particles with the following mass ratio of 10: 1. Size of the resulting complex spherical particle-antigen is 300±20 nm. Method of obtaining the vaccine comprises the following steps: production of spherical particles of the tobacco mosaic virus through the method of thermal structural rearrangement of the tobacco mosaic virus used at a concentration of 2 mg / ml, which is first heated to a temperature of 94±0.5°C and held for 10±0.5 minutes, then cooled in an ice bath to form a complex of 300±20nm. Then production of the rubella virus antigen protein. Mixing the resulting spherical particles with the antigen. Mixing the resulting complex with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Resulting drug has immunogenic properties comparable to a live attenuated rubella vaccine and is highly effective.
EFFECT: technology used does not require the use of a weakened or killed pathogen, the use of expensive culture media, expensive equipment and special sterility conditions.
