FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of lighting at least part of the space used garland light emitting diodes (LEDs). This LEDs garland comprises a first segment and at least one additional segment LEDs that are connected in series, each segment LEDs comprises at least one LEDs. LEDs Garland is powered with rectified AC voltage. The first segment LEDs is energized when the rectified AC voltage is higher than the first voltage level, and the first segment LEDs and LEDs powered overlay when the rectified AC voltage is above a second voltage level that is higher than the first voltage level. The first segment is the LEDs to emit light in the first amount of space, and the additional segment LEDs arranged to emit light in the second volume of space, wherein the first volume is at least partially different from the second volume. The first volume can at least partially overlap the second volume.
EFFECT: simplified management of spatially distributed light.
