FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic endoillummator with directed light includes a cannula, an intermediate material, optical fiber and a drive. The cannula has a cylindrical shape with the cylinder axis defining the internal space and an opening at the distal end. The intermediate material is located in the internal space and defines a fixed passage for the fiber. The optical fiber is located in the passage for fiber and has an optical fiber axis. The distal end of the fiber is configured to emit light with a picture of illumination distribution with an illumination axis. The optical fiber axis in the vicinity of the distal end is not parallel to the cylinder axis. The illumination axis is not parallel to the cylinder axis. The drive is located in the intermediate material and comprises a rod for optical fiber shifting from the first position to the second position in the fixed fiber passage to change the angle between the illumination axis and the cylinder axis from the first value to the second value. The fixed fiber passage is curved.
EFFECT: structural support of optical fiber and light direction at an angle to the cylinder axis is achieved.
