FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rotary internal combustion engine comprises a housing, a rotor with protrusions and the annular flange. Flanges divide the internal volume of the housing for the compression section and the divided plate protrusion on the intake and compression volume and a working section and a split lip plate on the expansion and exhaust volume. Chamber and the compressed combustible mixture combustion arranged outside the housing and communicated by controlled bypass devices. The projections are made from cylindrical sealing surface portions. The sealing surface on the rotor in the test section is arranged to periodically overlap the mouth of the connecting channel with the volume of the combustion chamber for expansion during the filling of the combustion chamber and compressed gas mixture during its combustion before reaching the maximum pressure in the combustion chamber. The sealing surface on the rotor section compressing the fuel mixture is adapted to the channel inlet opening of the combustible mixture in synchronism with the mouth of the connecting channel overlapping the combustion chamber with a volume expansion in the working section.
EFFECT: implemented isochoric cycle and reduced specific fuel consumption.
