FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method is intended for use in growing the planting material in the form of seedlings of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) with the closed root system. The method includes preparing a substrate of peat with additives, filling containers with the substrate, sowing seeds in the substrate-filled containers, mulching, and care while growing. As an additive in obtaining the substrate, ground felling residues of silver birch (Betula pendula) are used in the form of a mixture of particles of different fineness, but not more than 3 mm, including pulverized particles. The mass fraction of said additive in the substrate is from 15 to 22%.

EFFECT: method ensures ecological compatibility of the technology of growing seedlings.
