FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: processing method of leucoxene concentrates includes melting concentrate together with soda. While contained in concentrate silicon dioxide interacts with soda with the formation of water-soluble silicates. Melting product is subjected to grinding and leaching with water. The result is a sludge based on titanium dioxide, suitable for further processing on traditional technologies with the receipt of pigment titanium dioxide, titanium metal and other titanium products.
EFFECT: reducing environmental risks by eliminating the use of acids and alkalis.
