FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method of liquid level determination in water supply well involves creating an acoustic wave in the downhole space and wave propagation measurement of time in the medium under study. In the zone of the borehole electrocentrifugal pulser of the well, the generator and the acoustic wave (AW) receiver are placed in a stationary position; at the level of the well fluid, the carbamide balls or balls of a material with similar properties of positive buoyancy in water are placed; an acoustic wave is created in the liquid medium in the zone of the borehole pulser and the transit time of AW passage from the borehole pulser to the carbomide balls located at the liquid level and the time of passage of the reflected AW from the liquid level to the acoustic wave receiver in the zone of borehole pulser are measured, and the liquid level is determined by a mathematical formula.
EFFECT: monitoring the liquid level in the intertubular space in real time, remotely without involving the personnel of the enterprise in the field work.
