Method comprises the step of performing conversion of the first image pixel classification parameter values using a transmitter to a binary form to the first binary signal, wherein the first parameter identifies the type of sample displacement process which must be applied to the recovered image corresponding to the input image. Further, according to the method, encoding of the first part of the first binary signal is carried out by context-adaptive arithmetic coding, and encoding of the second part of the first binary signal is carried out by a bypass arithmetic coding using a fixed probability.

EFFECT: increased image encoding and decoding efficiency.
