FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: object identification is performed by determining the properties of surfaces using optical system, which contains a polariser camera with the ability to produce images with high resolution and is connected to the device, data processing and storage. Polarising camera contains a polarisation sensor, by which two planes of the polarisation light reflected from the object surface and from the surface of the transparent layer. Determination of surface properties for object identification is carried out based on the detected planes of polarisation.
EFFECT: improving the identification accuracy.
