SUBSTANCE: honeycomb body with (1) the first end face (2), the second end face(3), the central axis (4), which penetrates both end faces, and with length (5), having at least one at least partially structured metallic layer ( 6), which is located around a central axis (4), at that the structure (7) of at least one metal layer (6) has elevations (8) and recesses (9), which extend at least on the part of the length (5) of the honeycomb body (1) and extend on the angle to the central axis (4), and in addition, between the adjacent areas (11) at least of one at least partially structured metallic layer (6) is provided at least one metal connecting strip (10), which is shorter, than the length (5) of the honeycomb body (1) and forms the blown joint (12) or the welding joint (13) with these adjacent areas (11). Besides, here is disclosed a method of such honeycomb body manufacture.
EFFECT: intensive mixing and swirling of the exhaust gases flow.
