FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: declared folding eyeglass frame contains folding arms 1 and a folding frame comprising a bridge 2 and two rims 3, in which the lenses 4 are mounted. Each rim 3 is pivotally connected to the bridge 2 by means of hinges 5. The axis of the hinges 5 of the rim rotation 3 are oriented in such a way that they lie on the intersecting lines m and n in the side view - the angle β (Fig. 4), whereby the intersecting lines m and n lie in parallel planes C and D. The planes C and D are at the angle α, with respect to the vertical symmetry plane H of the frame, when viewed from above. The value of the angles α and β depends on the parameters of the lenses used - curvature and thickness.
EFFECT: ensuring proper positioning of the lenses with respect to the eyes, in which both lenses in the unfolded state have the same vertex distance and pantoscopic angle, as well as minimizing the overall dimensions in the folded state, so that the folded frame has minimal overall dimensions by minimizing the gaps between the folded parts.
