SUBSTANCE: plankton registrating method includes the formation of the studied volume of the medium by transferring pulsed optical radiation in the selected direction and recording the shadow image as a digital Gabor axial hologram. Then, a volume image with information processing in each section is reconstructed from the hologram layer by layer. During the implementation of the method, a temporal sequence of superimposed Gabor holograms is recorded, which is formed by controlling the duration and duty cycle of the pulsed optical radiation, and the time of photoelectric recording.

EFFECT: increasing the distinctive ability and contrast of the image, increasing the representativeness of the results by increasing the recorded volume.
