FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: this is a method for producing a conjugate of a physiologically active protein and nonpeptide polymer which includes reacting of the said protein with the nonpeptide polymer having reactive groups at both terminuses or three terminuses in a reaction solution with an organic solvent to bind the said protein to the said polymer. Thereby the conjugate is obtained wherein the said protein has two or more N-terminuses, the said polymer is linked to the N-terminus of the said protein and the organic solvent is a spirit having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms. The reaction solution contains an organic solvent in a volume of from 30 to 55% of the total volume of the reaction solution and the pH-value of the reaction solution is from 4.5 to 7.0. This is a method for producing a conjugate of a physiologically active protein, carrier and nonpeptide polymer, which involves obtaining a conjugate of a physiologically active protein and nonpeptide polymer by the above method and covalent binding of the carrier to the conjugate nonpeptide polymer.
