FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: railway complex is equipped with the system of gas liquefaction and liquefied gas transportation by an extended railway line in railway tank cars with the help of gas turbine locomotives. Along the railway mainline track in 600-800 kilometres liquefied gas storage facilities replenished from the tanks of railway trains are arranged. Gas from the storage facilities is used for the periodic supply of gas turbine locomotives, as well as for fuel at gas turbine or combined-cycle power plants. The electric energy generated by them is used to electrify the sections of the railway main line, as well as to supply electricity to its facilities and nearby utility and industrial consumers. The generated heat energy is used for heat supply to station buildings and structures, utility and industrial consumers.
EFFECT: increasing power supply efficiency, improving the reliability of the railway complex both in normal and extreme conditions of its operation.
