FIELD: railways power supply systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a traction power supply system for railways. The active traction power supply system comprises an external power supply system, traction substations, a traction network, an electric rolling stock and an active power plant, which consists of a renewable energy source and a step-up transformer. The active power plant also contains a voltage signal conversion unit, the output of which is connected to the first input of the control unit, the second input of the control unit is connected to the battery output, the third input of the control unit receives a signal from the output of relay protection and automation devices. The output of the control unit is connected to the input of the inverter, while the input of the inverter is connected to the output of the storage battery, the input of which is connected to the output of a renewable energy source based on a converter of solar and/or wind energy into electrical energy. The inverter output through an LC filter is connected to the primary winding of a step-up transformer, the secondary winding of which is connected to the traction network.
EFFECT: improving energy efficiency, the voltage level in the traction network and the reliability of power supply.
