FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: laparoscopy is performed within the first 72 hours after the beginning of the disease. The presence of pathological changes in the abdominal cavity is determined: amount of exudate and its characteristics, presence of steatonecrosis foci, presence of peritoneum hyperemia. The severity of changes is estimated in points. The total score is derived. At 0 points, an easy course of acute pancreatitis is predicted. At 1-6 points - a medium-heavy course. At 7-13 points - a heavy course.
EFFECT: method allows to simplify the prediction of acute pancreatitis severity at an early stage of the disease and to timely adjust the treatment tactics due to laparoscopy performed in the first 72 hours from the beginning of the disease and evaluation of the most significant pathological changes in the abdominal cavity.
