SUBSTANCE: capsule (1) for preparing a beverage by centrifugation in the device (50) for brewing by means of feeding the liquid into the capsule and rotating the capsule about the rotation axis (I) in the device for creating centrifugal forces acting on the liquid, the capsule (1) comprising the container walls forming the internal cavity (2) containing the beverage ingredients (3); said container walls comprising a lid (4) and a side wall (5) extending substantially around the central axis (I) and a peripheral flange (8) projecting along the perimeter radially to said axis (I), wherein said flange (8) comprises an annular base (9) projecting outwardly and a valve means (10) connected to said annular base, said valve means (10) extending in the direction (A) perpendicular to said radial direction (B) and being made with at least one deflectable valve portion (11) which is deflected to leave the transverse passage, under the action of centrifugal pressure exerted by the liquid flowing on it, when the capsule is rotated around the axis (I) during the operation of brewing by centrifugation, wherein the peripheral flange (8) forms an elongated part of the side wall (5) and is independent from said lid (4).

EFFECT: ensuring good control over the flow of the beverage coming out of the capsule and the possibility of better controlling the finished beverage quality, since the function of the flap or the plugging means is independent of closing forces by which the device acts on the capsule to prevent the lid from separating from the rest of the capsule.
