SUBSTANCE: signal is generated as a sequence of M LFM pulses, where M is an integer greater than or equal to one, where the carrier frequency of the chirp pulses changes from pulse to pulse with overlapping of the spectra of the individual LFM pulses, emitting a signal, receiving a reflected signal, compressing the received signal by convolution with a reference signal. Before the received signal is compressed, a reference signal is generated by weighting each of the M LFM sequence pulses by two specially selected window functions.
EFFECT: reduction of the level of the side lobes of the compressed linear-frequency-modulated signal with inter-period spreading.
