FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in formation and processing of radar signals with linear frequency modulation (LFM) in radar stations. In the claimed method, by changing the value of the average frequency of each of M LFM pulse signals according to a random law, a sequence of M coherent LFM pulse signals with the same frequency deviation is formed, where M is an integer. Then the generated LFM pulse signal sequence is coherently emitted, the reflected LFM pulse signal sequence is received, the signals are compressed, and their analogue-to-digital conversion is carried out with a sampling frequency of FD≥2Δƒ, where Δƒ is the frequency deviation of the LFM pulse signal. Then the received reflected LFM pulse signal sequence is coherently accumulated, the accumulated signals are compressed, and the accumulated LFM pulse signals are processed in a coordinated manner.
EFFECT: reduced level of side components of a compressed LFM pulse signal by reducing the level of its side lobes and suppressing the signals received from multiple ranges.
